The purpose of “Demonization vs. Inclusion – Global Domination” and these blog posts is to combine them into a published book entitled Safe Schools for Jewish Students: An Educator’s Guide to Preventing Antisemitism and Strengthening Belonging.

Chapter 5 – Demonization vs. Inclusion: Global Domination

Global Domination

Social media is the source of news for most students and for many educators. The problem with the algorithm of social media is that it finds more posts and videos that support what one enjoys viewing, creating a bigger bubble of one-sided information.

Jews Control the Banks

Historically, Jews were forbidden from all trades in the Middle Ages except moneylending. By the 19th and 20th centuries, the mental association of Jews with money transformed into the myth that Jews secretly controlled banks and global economies. The antisemitic stereotype continues to this day.

Examples include the following.

Though an entire book can be made of antisemitic statements made by Ye, formally known as Kanye West, including posting that he was going “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE,” one of the things he said in December 2022 was, “my accounts have been frozen by the Jewish banks.”

In December 2025, Lower Gwynedd Elementary School Principal Philip Leddy was fired for contacting a parent, leaving a message, and not hanging up fully causing the message to record him saying that the parent had “Jew money,” and “they control the banks.”

Dan Bilzerian, a social media influencer, posted on X, celebrating how Nazi Germany “flourished when Hitler removed Jews from the banking system.”

Jews Control the Media

The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a book published in 1903, was an antisemitic book portraying Jews as planning world domination. Not only did the book claim Jews dominated global economies, politics, and governments, but also controlled the media. Today, the trope still exists.

Here are a few examples.

Candace Owens is another person who has made a multitude of antisemitic statements. Not only did she say in August 2024 there’s a sadistic cult of Jews that perpetrate attacks on Christian children all over the world, but she has also claimed in March 2024 that there is a “ring” of Jews in Hollywood so powerful that “they will kill people before they allow that ring to be exposed.”

Presidential candidate Merlin Miller in 2012 met with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and relayed to the press Ahmadinejad’s concerns about, as Miller put it, the United State’s “Zionist-controlled media.”

Jews Control Politics

In the 20th century, white supremacists formed the conspiracy of a Zionist Occupation Government (ZOG), a shadow government that acts as a puppeteer controlling the world’s politics.

For example:

Journalist Helen Thomas made a speech in December 2010 where she said that “Congress, the White House, Hollywood and Wall Street are owned by Zionists. No question, in my opinion.”

In 2019, Ilhan Omar of the U.S. Congress suggested Israel controlled the government when she said in a discussion of the U.S. defending Israel, “It’s all about the Benjamins,” referring to Benjamin Franklin on the hundred dollar bill. Emphasizing her belief that Israel had control over governments all over, she posted in 2012, “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.”

Jews Control… Space Lasers?

Some conspiracy theories are so absurd and unique that if they don’t have a history of being a traditional antisemitic stereotype, I feel comfortable enough to laugh them off. Whenever someone asks me about the accusation of Jews having space lasers, I tell them mine’s in the repair shop.
