This easy-to-understand collection is an invaluable addition to any bookshelf.Dr. Ronald Barany's introduction:I have frequently been struck by the fact that the Psalms are difficult to read and understand. [...] I decided to translate the entire book and publish it. [...] I have been reading and studying Hebrew for 40 years and feel that I have enough of a grasp of the language to provide a sensitive and sensible translation."FIVE STARS - I’ve read Barany’s translation, and I can attest it is accurate, at least when compared to the NIV Revised. I reorganize psalms by their chiastic structure, and Barany’s translation clears up some ambiguities from the NIV translation. I am sorry this translation has not found enduring success.
